do you want to take out the h10 before he can fire, so during the first torpedo round or do you just want to win at all, no matter how many ships are left?

ok, an h10 has 1200 hull points and 6 shields with 454 shield points each

this means you haver to make 2724 damage for killing the shields and then another 1200 for destroying the ship

in kosmor ships without experience have a hit quote of 60%, we can't calculate this for ships with experience that have a better accuracy as nobody knows how exactly this gets calculated

so our h4 have 2 T6 that makes 30 damage each and 3 L6 that make 30 damage each

2724/(2*30*0.6) = 75,666...

so we need 76H4 shooting with their torpedos to kill the shields of the H10

and another 1200/(2*30*0.6) = 33,333 so 34 H4 to destroy the hull

so a total of 110 H4 destroy one h10 before the h10 may fire

if you just want to win you need much less h4...

as the h10 can only kill 16/2*0.6 H4 in the torpedorund = 4,8 ~ 4 H4

I think you need like 25 H4 to just win somehow against the H10 Wink

Starting with 26 H4 you have a chance to win. Every more helps; using 30 H4s gives a 50/50 chance and with 33 it's almost certain to win.

Four for a 50/50 chance but use six to be on the save side.

Wanted to reopen this thread with the question... how many H10's to beat a H11? before it has a chance to fire? and secondly simply to win against one?

h10 to kill h11 before it fires:
16 torps each
damage 227
suppose high moral?
or normal

i'll do both

leviathan = 10000hull points + 24 * 454 shield points
total = 20896

normal moral:
20896 / (227*16*0.6 [2179.5]) = 9.59
so with 10 brand new golis, the levi shouldnt fire

with high moral (about 85%) : 20896 / (227*16*0.85) = 6.76
so 7 high moral golis should kill a levi without firing

(using Tarkin's battle sim) just to win... with 6 golis, losing 2 is likely with 5 victory is almost certain, but expensive
and with 4 it's no guarenteed

well i'm part way though a battle calculator... so here are my findings:
h4 against h11:
to kill without the h11 firing (currently the only one i can sim ^^ as i havent yet coded firing back Wink )

number of torpedo shots required at 60% accuracy [i ran the simulation 9 times]
1144
1201
1158
1174
1176
1107
1120
1126
1155

so number of ships required:
572
601
579
587
588
554
560
563
558

with accuracy at 85%:
811 - 406
809 - 405
810 - 405
821 - 411

and in theory with 100% accuracy... the 698th shot would kill the ship (349th ship)

i have made the assumption that every hit has the same damage for my battle sims (the same assumption that Tarkin made... and i think the same that merthos and krondor made)
