How exactly do you go about the mission setting stuff and how exactly are they executed & by whom? Confused

The missions are described in detail in the help (9.2 and 9.3).

They may be executed by any of your house members if they think it is worth it. So a mission is only a one-side-contract (you pay the reward if completed in time).

"Attack solar system": There you could choose one system (you ahve to see it) from an enemy player, how long the mission should be created, an how big the reward is.

"attack imperator" same as "attack solar system": you have to choose an enemy you could see, how long the mission takes and the reward.

"defend solar system": that is a little bit difficult. You could choose the solar system (from your house) and the time the mission takes. "number of combat bonuses" means, how many money the people get, if there is a fight on this system. "deployment bonus" means, how many money the person get, if you do his ships on the planet. "Minimum combat power", well, I think i do not have to complain.But I'm not sure, what "Reward" is. Well, somebody else could explain.

The missions could be created by everyone and also finished by everyone. The money wil be drawn-in immediately. If no one finishes the mission, you'll get you money back.

Did I forget anything?

"Defend solar system" has two rewards:

Reward - You get this, if there is a fight and you succeded. The Minimum combat power is ignored (I think).
Deployment bonus - You get this every turn you have ships on that system with at least the Minimum combat power.

As on all missions, if there are more than one player the reward is splitted by combat power.
