does anyone know roughly how much minimum combat power is needed in either a single ship or several ships to defeat and therefore conquer an ememy WP.... an unguarded one?

i want to know what id need to send without wasting ships or risking my WP

An H1 has a little chance to win against an ungarded Warplanet.
With H2 or higher, the ship won't lose. I suggest you (npu) to attack with H4 Wink

A war planet is a H2 equiped with lvl. 2 components and a star system a H3 with lvl. 3 components.

Therefor there is a chance that a WP may win against a single H2.

Does the star size matter, or all stars are H3?

neither the known planet's size (class 1 to 3) Grin , nor the assumed size of the star it is orbiting (pulsar, white dwarf or red giant?) Prall!
affects the solar system's combat power, that always equals an H3. Cool

lol
a couple of h3s are always nice to have when attacking someone.
as h3s are the smallers ships to carry torpedoes, and torps fire first... you get first shot in

so you can get to shoot before the pro who put 10 h10 on your kp Wink

All ships are repaired after the combat (if they're still alive Grin)

The order depends on the initiative of the ships whereby the lower ones shoot first. So yes, if you use the best equipment for the ships the smaller ones fire first.

ini = 2*hull size - drive level +/- a random factor (0.5)

so h1s will shoot first at lasers, but torpedoes go first overall and as h1/2 dont have lasers, h3 get the very first shot
