I think that you should be able to sell ships to other people.. cue torrent of posts saying how wrong I am

hmm you cann put the components of an ship on an planet and sell it to an fellow housemember... all he has to do is to build the ship new out of the components..

the components are no problem, but as non-pro you cant build ships bigger than h4 but you can have the components

Thats sort of what I was saying, a non-pro can't build the ships, so whats the point in having parts

the point is here that there is a good reason why a non-pro cant built a ship higher then h4 and so there is no need to sell him a complete ship because he can`t build it.

What i want to say is:

If he wants BIG ships dann register a PRO-Account! ;P

Yeah, but what if you want to sell ships to people not in your house. You can add a "Ships" tab in the Marketplace. Also, we could buy parts and sell ships to make a profit. People who don't want to spend the money to make ships or don't want to wait 1 day for purchase and more days for construction could just buy a ship.

this makes even more logic as it is...

suppose you send your battle fleet to an isolated planet, far out of range of the main fleet... knowing that there is at most 1 shipyard

you attack...
... they bought 40 golis to that planet from the marketplace [probably just sold from their home planets]
... fair?

there is good reason why ships take time to build, and bigger ships take longer

Well, we could make ships take time to deliver (but delivery time must be 2 days less than construction time).

So non-pros would usually take 3 days to get an H4 would now only use 1 day. 1 day for buying, 0 days for delivery. Pros with H11 would wait 1 day for purchase and 4 days for deilvery (5 days total). Since the radar range of a solar system is only 100ly and an WP can travel 100 ly in 4 days, your fleet will be at the solar system 1 day before the H11's arrive.

1) If you have a radar station on the planet, you see 130 ly
2) If another player tells you, that someone is on the way to attack you, you have enough time.

All right, shoot this idea down then:
Ships can only be sold to planets within 100 ly of your hp. The ships take a certain amount of time to get to you, but that is only determined by how far away the seller is. The marketplace screen shows ships by seller, not by hull type, and it shows how far the seller is from you. The shipments can only go 100 ly a day.

If your WP goes and attacks a border planet, the ship will can not be sold to it, and no imperator would attack a core planet without expecting heavy defenses there in the first place.
