(.com + .de) + images

could the .com and .de images be stored on the same server?
then browsers only need to download one of each of the files into the cache...
because where the images are the same, it is downloading both into the cache separately... which takes extra time for people with slow connections, and uses less of your bandwidth

this happens for the smilies on the forum, but not for others


when someone has say 30ships which they are moving at once... it loads 30 different pictures

what if rather than the image being called ship_id=#### it's ship_locationx=####&ship_locationy=####&ship_drives=####&targetx=####&targety=####&kosmor_day=###

then all ships which are in the same location and have no missions set only use 1 picture, and all the ships after they have all been sent to the same location only have 1 picture... saving a total of 58 pictures ~15kb each

then i still dont believe that it is possible for the ship to display the wrong picture, just it can be cached to save a LOT when dealing with large fleets -- imagine melbar moving all his fleet in .de against lebiadyn, each ship had to load the image separately
